Now we just need Tim Imhoff to join in then. I has thinking his car was blue originally, like yours, Chuck.

Hey, Chuck. It's good to see your post show up. Haven't heard anything from you for a long time. Hope all is well.

Mark, I don't remember Tim's car in blue but I know that Larry Maxwell raced the blue "Git Go" in Division 7 for a while after he sold his own '74. Tim's brown car was that color and had a 4-speed just about every time I saw it. The combination had been already been pushed from O/S to M/S by the time Tim got involved.

Bill Rink walked into my pit area at Indy in 1994, introduced himself, and asked how to go about picking a good car for Stock Eliminator. We talked for a while, took a stroll through the Stocker pits looking at cars, shook hands and he left. The next time I saw him, he had a GTO and was wreaking havoc on the qualifying sheets all over the country.

Yes Chuck, it was all your fault. Mike McDonald was the other guilty party. Thanks to Parsons and Myers, the madness continues.

This thread is turning into a real reunion !

Chuck , I guess I assumed Tim's car was blue..Maybe that article was in b/w.

Larry's 1st car went back to Ohio ,and Larry Slone.
I now remember him racing the GitGo car afterwards.

Danny Ashley's car went to Richard Desmond, who still has it ,I think.
Mike MacDonald's car went ??? Not a hatchback, I don't think.

We need to hear from Danny and Tim here.

So, where did Tim's car come from,...and where did Chuck's go to after Larry Max ?

Danny's car went to Scandinavia. Mike's car was sold to Dick Desmond.

Sloan's car is still in Michigan. Terry Nagle owns it. Denny Nelson in Minn-

esota also owns one, not sure where he bought it, possibly Maxwell's. I'm

the idiot that put 27 H.P. on the combination over 12 years. That's why it's

in Super-Stock now. By the way Travis, you had the quickest run in 2012

in SS/LA at Brainerd - - great run with your Camaro.

Rink....you need to buy that car.....from what we have learned the last several years with that engine...I bet we could get another 27 HP on it before we quit!!

The combination needs Desmond and Nelson to write letters, that'll help the HP in Stock. I haven't run the car in Stock since 2007. Still own the fast Parsons engine that got all the HP. By the way, my car is an original one owner GTO - hatchback - 4 speed car. I'm the second owner. This year will be the 19th season on the car - all with Parsons power.

Mark, Bruce Walton's car was originally campaigned by Mr. Rock Running, I believe that Bruce still owns the car in Ohio. He hasn't run in NHRA Stock Eliminator for a number of years. The last I heard, the car is parked. That car has been a race car from new. Many of the 74's were cloned from flat hood Venturas, however. That car only came with the 350 cu. in. 2 bbl. V8. The GTO only offered the 4 bbl. V8 with the functional ram air hood scoop. What makes the combination effective in Stock is the intake is the same as the 400 ram air engine. It's almost too large for the 350. I'm referring to the 4 bbl. intake.
