Actually Jeff, you guys didn't get them, because the V12 didn't meet the emission / fuel economy standards, and Jaguar would have had to pay a very hefty tarrif in order to market them in the U.S.. ( this car gets about 18 MP U.S. gallon on the highway ) In 1985, I was looking at a black 72 V12 E Type at the Jag dealer in Edmonton. The dealership owner took my 64 Parisienne Custom Sport ( 300HP 327 4 speed ) for drive. Came back, and offered me a job ! I actually completed the last two years of my apprenticeship ( 85/86 ) at that Jag dealer ! but enough of that Drained the oil today. Cut open the oil filter... No problems so far. Geez... maybe my luck is FINALLY going to change ?!
