Yep, street racers can do a 347 with the stock block at 0.030, but going to 0.060 is a risk unless you do a sonic check.
So, the reason why Ford racing used the Boss 302 block to go 0.060 and why they call it a 352.
Heck, they could have used their racing blocks with thick walls and go 4.080 and call it a 355 or go 4.100 bore and call it a 359 or go 4.125 and call it a 363.

The real point here is that the 352 buildup is what it was accepted by NHRA.
