I had the pleasure of chatting with some of the engineers on the GNX program. They were there driving GNX prototype #7. I asked them what was going to happen to the car when they were done with it and one of them winked at me and said it would be crushed. I always wondered which one of them ended up with it. It had 3200 miles on it and the rear tires were almost showing cords.
Rumor has it on the Mopar boards that one of the donated Vipers was involved in an on street accident, hence the order for all of them to be turned in and crushed. I do believe that their claim the car is worth "hundreds of thousands" is a bit of a stretch.
