Wow!

You guys are getting one heck of a deal to store your stuff. I store my 36' gooseneck at a gated storage facility--outside and uncovered--for $175 a month here in New Jersey.

Here in Colorado, my house is part of a HOA, it runs $35 to $80 depending on
the length of the trailer or MH. I'm looking at about $75 a month for the size
of MH I want to buy. And rates do vary by area and if covered or open.

Have not purchased a trailer yet.

Need to get a light one that is strong.
Found a few steel Trailers at 1400# that are well constructed.
One used aluminum for about $3500 which is 1300lbs.

Renting a trailer form U-Haul is a good idea but these units are heavy.
Some in questionable condition.

Found a place near by at $110/month.
Farther away a bit of a hassle to get to about $90/mo.

Wish we could add to the house but that is a no-no..!
RV places are 60 minutes away.

Live in Germantown MD. Montgomery County and land is getting expensive..

Just to give you an idea as you look our 14' x 50' holds our RV and Corvette and is $160 a month. Concrete floor, all concrete drive in with plenty of room to manuever, locked gate, cameras, good lighting, 24-hour access with a code, and electricity inside the unit. We're fortunate as it's about 2 minutes from the house. Putting the Corvette in there allows us to put my wife's car and my truck in the garage at the house. The covered 10' x 30' for the trailer is on gravel but it's right off the concrete and is right next to the other one and is $55 a month.

Spent 30 years living on 5 acres with a 30X40 garage with 13 ft ceiling and a 4 post car lift. in Laplata, Md.. Now Im in an H.O.A. in Fla. (Land of the living dead). Cant wait for the house to sell and move to where I can build a 40X60 garage WITHOUT an H.O.A. ! H.O.A.'s are a rip off.....need a place where I can shoot my guns also. My neighbors are tempting targets here. My suggestion is MOVE. You WILL be happier.

How big is your garage? We have a smaller steel open trailer. My brother backed it in the garage with the car on it. If you could do that, it might simplify things.

Dan----Bring it on down-----12 acres drop it anywhere-----or you could buy the place next door 36 acres. Firearms and dogs that run free are a requirement in my neighborhood. :-)

Did you make the trip south yet? Im still trying to sell this place. To many GDOP's(G*D DA*M OLD PEOPLE) around. Have several locations located of 5 to 8 acres Id like to have but cant seem to give away this place to make the move yet. It seems selling property and/or a home in Florida is a loser unless your on the beach near the mass of humanity. Im priced at about $20,000 less than I paid for it a little over 4 years ago. Thank you oBUMa !

Seems like every garage on the planet is 20' deep. How big's my trailer? 21'. Still apartment living since we moved back up north, and the car & trailer stay in a storage place. Not close, and have no place to work on the car. Been looking at real estate for several years now. Lots of places to live around here, but not with a race car. Haven't been able to find something that fits both my needs and my budget at the same time... not sure if those things ever coincide!
