How about lowering the classes by 2 on each old car, hence 3 tenths easier. That is what Larry Hill is doing while everyone on here is blapping their gums.

Why not leave it like it was and then their would not be any blapping this BS was done for the paper cars so the index wouldn't be scared put the 3 tenths back and go

OK Mickey. The reality is I asked for the FS Indexes to be lowered more last year, but NHRA is moving slowly. I think I suggested 9.90 and 10.20, and this year I will ask for more. I am of the opinion (like me or not, but I'm too old to beat up) of speeding up the older cars (like my 69 Super Bee), and don't slow down the new cars. But then I don't like the AHFS. When it came along, it was better than what we had. And it's application is open to discussion. I think I will start a new thread about that. I haven't gotten anyone really mad lately.

NO doubt that is a big issue. I guess in the sanctioning body's take, that is what it will take to build a new class. As long as the cars are on 9 inch tires, they will be in Stock. And if you are not in FS and are in BB, CC etc, you are AHFS bound. Only in Indy does anyone get knocked out. I really have some ideas that would help, but I don't dare post all of them. I might get ISIS sent to my house. But who knows. With Comp on the ropes and Pro Stock right behind, maybe a new eliminator? How about a Nostalgia/FS. Maybe for Indy? Maybe 8.25 lbs? Maybe (put your number here) index? Food for thought.
