For at least 8 years i have watched street racing on You tube. There are cars from time to time have NHRA/IHRA #'s on the cars. Nothing was said. If you count the hits for these videos, there is certainly a large interest in drag racing. Everything on the Discovery Channel is staged in some manner, regardless of the format. These are all shows for entertainment. Entertainment is for $$$$$. A bunch of racers got noticed and became popular. I think that we all wished that it would happen to us. If Wally would have sanctioned street racers from the 60's, I doubt if NHRA would have gotten very far.Let them race and let NHRA offer an alternative to street racing at the end of the show...".it's safe and legal and fun and anyone one can do it with any car. That's how you win. Build the sport.
