I investigated running the 340 combo as that is what is in the car now. But the heads I use (w2) are not legal. A noted head porter suggested I find a set of 576 heads to use if we build the 340. I put out a few wtb posts with no results. But was given access to a bunch of 383 blocks, heads, cranks, valve train parts to use. So I thought I better start asking the right people.

The 308 heads flow almost as good as the 576 heads after a good porter gets a hold of them they will flow just as well.
