No, it does not turn them into scrap metal...the new rule allows lots of creativity with all valve seats allowed to be replaced, along with creative valve jobs and offset guides...

I may be wrong, but isn't this how the out of control SS heads started that drove many out of the class?

Right, but the point was, hoarding "virgin" heads just became useless......and the value of those parts because they were untouched just went out the window, except that scrap cast is about $140 a ton right now.
