Seeing this thread refuses to die,...beat this:
Two pieces of railroad track @ 180# ea., 100 with the box. 100 in the back bumper.. and that's for the lighter class.

Mark, have you thought about a weight bar up front? Helps with wheel stands. May not be a problem for your car. Might be easier on the trans axle?
I have a 65 lb bar (square tubing filled with lead shot) up front, right behind my fog lights. Two 1/2" bolts to the front bumper support bar. Rest is in the weight box in the back. Duct tape stopped shot bags leaking shot into the weight box. Got tired of having to use the shop vac to get loose shot out. A cut down floor mat keeps the bags from wearing against the heads of the 2 bolts holding the weight box in place.

I don't think that the problem is the location of the weight, just the amount of weight.......
Bob PS: The only way that car would do a wheel stand is to leave the line in reverse..........

Very hard to steer now with a gutted power rack. To be clear, the picture is of my Omega with a 350 Buick,...about 10 years ago. And yes, it still spun the tires once in a while.
