Default Re: Battery / cutoff switch??

My battery is in the trunk with a cutoff switch, but the main power coming into the cabin still runs through a 150 amp circuit breaker just to be on the safe side. Since it can be operated like a switch manually you could mount it on the dash or somewhere accessible and use that as your cutoff.

I used to run the charge wire from my alternator through the cabin to my batteries and had a circuit breaker on the floor next to my seat to cut power from the battery to the alternator when the car was off. They make great high amp switches and have good solid posts, too.
