Whoa M.J., I'm with you! I was just directing a little bit of sarcasm at the "West Coast Rules".

Just curious how the system works regarding how the data gets entered into the computer, I would have assumed that it would automatically pick up on the heads up deal and would override someone attempting to enter a dial in? Assuming the car got entered in a specific class, wouldn't the computer pick up the heads up and not allow for the dial in override? Just asking?

I changed classes as well on my tech card. DRC did not have my class correct either. Guess I was running as well.

According to this, http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...r=100#indextop
It appears he won round one as a SS/FA.

Looks to me like it was just a wrong class entry on DRC in round one.

this is from NHRA rule book.............
If an event is disrupted and rescheduled due to weather or other conditions, the following options are permitted: Super Stock and Stock contestants may reregister in a different class but must remain within their eliminator category. Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street contestants may reregister and change to a different “Super” category than originally entered. This policy only applies if eliminations were not in progress.

The more I check into this deal, it was just a typo on the part of DRC. The 1st round of eliminations had the car as SS/GA, but the winners list had it as SS/FA. Go figure.

I just checked my edata that i get for stats and the car in question was in SS/FA in round one. Everything looks fine to me. BTW, RD 2 ladder was made off of Rd 1 winners anyhow so..............

Thanks, Joe.

The funny thing about me changing classes that year (funny now anyway!) was when we went up to the lanes for random pairing. Amy Faulk was in the lane next to me 3 or 4 cars ahead and I thought 'Oh ****, I change classes and I'm gonna get a heads-up first round!' This was before they made the rule that there would be no heads-up races during random pairing. I counted out the cars 2 or 3 times and I ended up missing her by one pair I think. lol

Any truth to the rumor that there was no tech in vegas? Fill out your tech card and turn it in at the credentials window.
