It could be repaired using the stitch weld process and an insert in the head bolt hole.....I'd probably use a stud in that hole instead of a bolt......

It is basically a matter of cost vs how valuable or irreplaceable something is....and what is the intended use of that block....
I agree. Use a stud in that position.
