Personally I can believe it, most likely the person entering the dial ins was a regular track personnel that is not familiar with stock/ss rules. Me personally I always look at the other racers dial in and I look to see where they qualified so I know what their index is going to be. I would like to think I would have caught this, maybe or maybe not. I would also think anyone that races stock/ss would know this as well being its the first goal you have is to be able to run under the index.
