Track elevation 1884'. It could be fast if the tail wind is strong.
My Dad was at that first race. He was stationed at a nearby Air Force base. He and his buddies were car enthusiasts but they went looking for women. At the time he had no clue how big drag racing would be in his life.

Drag racing is way less expensive than getting married then divorced !

Larry and Patsy, you are amazed by the windmills because as a small businessman you are amazed at government waste in action. Don't know which one is more costly, the windmills or the solar panels, Do away with them and take the savings and let the COPO guys use it to fund the hunt for more Horsepower. Now that was just too easy. At least I thought it was pretty good.

Jeff, you are in rare form this morning! You must be feeling better!!

It is a beautiful day here in Great Bend, but a little chilly! It is 10:30 now and up to 55 but it got down to 45 last night! It is supposed to be 69 this afternoon for test and tune from 1-6. This is a beautiful facility . Very clean and flat for parking. We are parked on either side of a concrete runway. It looks like stock and super stock are on one side and long cars on the other. We have never been here before but everyone is friendly and helpful! We have electricity for $50 for the whole week!! Tech is going on now and rigs are still coming in as I am sure they will be all day. I will try to get pictures when people start unloading!

More later!
