Looks like there was a 1000 foot agreement in play, and they were still plenty fast!

Daniels was quicker off the starting line but Lynch drove by him for the win. Daniel Lynch's MOV: 0.1225 seconds (approximately 19 feet). My point exactly. |

Yes it has been happening for a long time, even when they ran against the National Record, yes the AHFS must be corrected and yes the bogus combinations, part numbers and mystery specs MUST also be reviewed and corrected to preserve the constitution of Stock Eliminator.

Unfortunately, it is not always about working harder. A lot of the time it is about spending more money. Not a option for me , so I continue to work harder, in the face of NHRA hypocrisy.

Not sure if it's TOO late, Terry, but it took 30 years of neglect and free , non-stock goodies to screw it up to where we are today. It can't be fixed all at once .
How to do it? Haven't a clue. If I had to start somewhere, I'd suggest that NHRA put together a 5 year plan. (I know, sounds like a joke..NHRA long range plan). 1, Take 2/10's off the bottom, and move all the triggers at the top, 2/10's faster. In other words..New A/SA index, 10.80...New instant hit, 9.60. 2, AHFS in effect at all nat. and div. races. 3, NO, I said NO more enchancements, freebies, goodies, for FIVE (5) years. ( If you want roller lifters, no more tears..build a car that came with them.) 4, Keep tearin' em down, and look a little closer at cylinder heads and manifolds for grind and file marks ;-) Maybe not perfect, Terry, but at least it's a plan.
