I am GLAD someone is actually thinking of NOT leaving the holes there. A firewall is just that, a FIREWALL! I can't believe the amount of cars I have worked on that had holes in the firewalls and floors! Carpet sure ain't gonna stop those flames!

I would prefer metal, but if it is a fiberglass car like a 'Vette, then may as well stick with 'glass though sheet metal would be easier, would not look as nice if you know how to work that itchy stuff!

I have a friend that had a hole maybe the size of a half dollar and he could not believe the amount of fire that came into the car one time, he learned!
