Anybody notice any performance increase running solid lifter vs short travel hyd lifter??
Do the big cam co’s still offer optional camshaft treatments/coatings on cast cams and is it worthwhile??

It is not the first time the cam company you are using has experienced issues with the heat treatment of their camshafts. Heard the same issues from others. Also, as Glenn stated, the break in spring pressure has to be lower than the spring pressure you use for racing. I would pay the additional cost and use a steel core in lieu of a cast core. Yes, there is a difference in power between the solid lifters and the limited travel lifters and it shows in the Spintron.
