Provisional Entries

Understanding it is an abnormal year with covid. Two races have been postponed but still are full. There are 7 national races so far with near full sportsman entries and only one has raced. Something like 1900 sportsman entry fees have been paid. Maybe a thanks for our support of the sport would feel better.

Like I said it's the racers choice and they earned the privilege but entering a race with 6 or 7 weeks left may deprive someone else that loves the sport also. Case in point I dropped out of Atlanta after realizing I wouldn't be able to go and someone else that I knew wanted to go was able to get in. If it's over quota that doesn't happen and there's one less person at the race that wanted to be there. With the severity of these quotas a little patience is all I'm asking for, I don't feel that's alot.

I guess I've had what I said on my mind for a while. We don't need a week in between each grade point that is for sure.

That is for certain but I guess that gives NHRA longer to hold onto our money.

That was my first point when you put a calculator to 1900 entries.

I'm sitting on 3 credits from cancelled races last year and only 5 grade points. Not a good position to be in on the East Coast where everything fills up at a grade 7 lol

Nhra needs to get off their *** and raise quotas at events were they know 80-90 will show up. How difficult would it be to run 10 more pair in S and SS?

What NHRA needs to do is anyone that has a provisional entry should be able to enter when ever they want. Just have it so those entries don’t count towards the quota. That would be a simple resolution.

Mike we both know that makes sense so it will never happen.
