A couple of companies build light weight internal stuff for the TH350. ProTrans I believe is the one using the Chrysler pieces. I'd ask around about them, see who owns their stuff. Coan makes an XLT package. I always used the ATI aluminum pieces, with a TH250C shell and output shaft.

Pro Trans does in fact use Mopar pieces in their 350 TH Trans. I have one
and it has been fast and flawless. I don't know how it came about, if the Smith family already had had all the Chrysler pieces, as originally they only built Mopar transmissions, and they were an easy retro-fit to the 350 case, or if the GM pieces were so heavy that it was worth getting the Mopar pieces to fit, or a combination of both. Opening one of their transmissions is like opening up a work of Art. Absolutely beautiful work inside. J.R. |

AMC in 80's used the Chrysler 904 trans with a chevy bolt pattern behind the GM 4 cylinder. Bolts right up to a chevy V8 block and all the internals are 904. They also used a 2.74 low gear instead of the 2.45 standard.

Pro trans also did a Ford C-6 with 904 internals . It was the desired piece until NHRA allowed the C4 to be used in all Fords

rsalami,
How do you tell the Mail truck transmissions that have the 2.74 low gear from the mail truck transmissions that have 2.45 with out disassembling. I have 2 of those mail truck transmissions with converters and on the outside they look identical to me.
