Smile Re: link to 2009-2010 camaro with engines

Lynn,

The 1969 Camaro and Firebird were probably the best looking models of the entire production run, but this new design appears to be a fat fastback homogination/clongomeration of styling ques that don't look anywhere as good as a Challneger or Mustang.

I agree since the cars would be sharing a lot of components the design/assembly costs for a Camaro/Firebird combination would be lower, I don't see enough Pontiac guys to make the car work. Unless it is way better looking than the Camaro, which then would't hepl the sales volume.

The last 3 new GM cars we have owned had interesting problems, I'll just recap a few:
Brake failure at 1,500 (yes, that's hundred) miles and again, Anti-lock brake system failure at 40,000 miles because the control module was mounted in the wheelwheel and corrosion ate into the interior of it, "Clogged fuel injector at 20,000 miles "becuase we used BP gas and they are not good fo GM cars." ???, Interior filling with water becuase some water dam pad moved in the vent area. ???
And the latest power window failure on a car where the driver doesn't smoke or use toll raods and drivers with the A/C on.
At a time in history when the country has more drivers than ever before, it can't be good when your sales are down each year.
