Question Re: Lightweight wheels

When I took the Center-line Convo-pros off my car last spring & put the M/T wheels on it I took 6lbs off the front of the car....( i was thinking it was 6lbs a wheel but that sounds like to much). I went from Hoosier 28 front runners to M/T 27.5 also.

I have a set of convo pro's front runners in the garage, if I remember correctly, they are 15 X 3.5 or 4 and weigh around 10 pounds. If I get a chance this weekend, I will weigh them, along with the convo pro rears that have new hoosier light weights and the weld racing super 2's with standard radials.

The tire weights are just as critical. I have moroso front runners on the dakota, nice light tire.

Are these for sale ?? How much did you pay for them. I'm looking for a pair of fronts 15 x 4 with 2 & 1/2 back space. 4 & 3/4 bolt space.

Thanks

Ron

Cool Re: Lightweight wheels

68coupe I can't answer that...i do so much "stuff" to slow this car down that I really don't know if it helped or not E.T. wise.

Post Re: Lightweight wheels

FYI - I was just told that the new one piece forged wheels are coming in at a little over 7 lbs and are 15x3.5. - $405.65 racer net

Their 3 piece wheels w/billet centers come in at a little over 8 lbs and are 15x4. - $299.25 racer net

Weights will vary a little based on design. You would have to call for more detailed info.
