They design their tires to fit a certain rim width range to give a specific result. They usually know what they're talking about. If you want the 10" tire on an 8" rim, just use the Hoosier tire. Being the Goodyear and Mickey Thompson have basically the same specs how do you think they would work? (i was hoping to use Goodyear or Mickey Thompson)

The Hoosier suggests 8"-10"
Hoosier states the Measured Rim @ 8"

Do you see any downsides to this such as having to run less pressure or more? Tire wear etc?
