Default Re: Who's the best with a Super Stock convertor rebuild?

Smitty,

As I remember the price of the rebuild on my converter was about $350.00. It was an extensive reconfiguration to up the stall speed from about 5400 to 6200. Alot had to be changed. They wont know what they need to do with your converter until they cut it apart and see how it is set up. My converter was an ATI to start with. ATI keeps good records for every converter they build. You can call them with the serial number and they can tell you exactly how it is set up and how it will work with a certian combo. I am sure the other converter companies do the same type of record keeping. I have only used ATI. Jay has a Munsinger in his car. It took him forever to get it back from Munsinger when he sent it for a rebuild. ATI turned mine around in 24 hours.
