tom:you went 10.80 on a amc 20 ,man ,the model 20 blew up two times of coarse it was a stick car,the model 20 is an afficaint rear dana 60 is strong but heavy, 8 3/4 should be about the same and i now alot of guys make it work in high horse power situations , gmonde

Unfortunately the 69 factory Hurst AMX has a factor of 7.49# , Just enough to keep it out of AA/S. Unless you can adjust down 1 class with it. .................... Of course you would have to find someone at the New Chrysler Corp. who would push it thru to NHRA, since it was only a 50 unit car! .... I dont know if a car that is an accepted 50 unit combo in Super Stock is automaticaly accepted in Stock. ...... Tom

I believe that if you really look at the specs on that engine(1969 390/340 AMC) , it will pretty much be a no-go for AA/S anyway (at 407 hp).

Dwight, I'd think the Crane fully ported heads would be another stumbling block, Altho they are pretty tame compared to what it would be up against. ....Just an outloud daydream. ........Tom
