I would second the moser stuff. If you use the moser alum spool you will most likely have to send them your axles to have the splines cut a little longer as they run the splines in the spool all the way from one end to the other. It cost a little more to do it this way but looks to make it alot stronger and less likely to strip the splines out of the alum spool as I have seen with some of the others.

Mark Williams sets the standard that others shoot for. I have run the MW aluminum spool and light weight axles since 1999 thousands of hits never a problem. That is with a 7000 rpm stick shift launch. Now that the car is sold and has an slush-o-matic in it the parts should last forever.

Mark Williams has my vote. Mike Pustelny from MPR is a dealer for them and he can get you the best prices on their products. 810-798-8998.

Not trying to hyjack the thread but i was wondering. How much has anyone picked up going from a normal 30 spline moser kit to a good light weight package? I know its making your rotating parts lighter which is always a good thing but how much will it actually help. Also anything about ceramic in the rear?

Guys i'm not trying to stir the pot here. But in my 0pinion the moser stuff , isn't really that nice i think their quality is poor . If you want cheap than go with Moser . I have run a chassis shop for nearly 20 years, and have used parts from Moser ,Stange, and Mark Williams. The M/W is stuff is very well made but kinda exspensive . the parts from Strange eng. are very well made , and priced much better. My first choice is always Strange.

Moser Aluminum spool lasted me for about 20 runs and then the ring gear side broke. This was last year at the Memphis Tn. points meet. I replaced the spool with a steel Moser spool and put many runs on it without a problem.
