Smile 2000 S-10 Stocker

I need some help. I want to build a S-10 4cyl. auto stocker. I need some advice on what trans to run. What rearend gears and so on. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ron

129 hp is kinda high for a 134 ci 4 cylinder.

There was a guy from Ms that ran one of them.I think he worked at Comp?

That's probably why it's in the book.

Rule No. 1 ,
Don't build a Stocker just because you have the vehicle. Build the best one for the class you want to run.


For example , my Mustang is only rated one more hp, is 140 ci, and has a turbocharger.
It can't run W though, where the S10 can .Still don't think it's the best W combination.

For your trans question, a turbo 200 3 speed, as light duty as you can make it.

You would have to have an idea of where the peak torque and hp is before you can gear it correctly.
