Correct. The national event at Martin used to have the double-header Pro-Am along with it. Knowing that, last fall we scheduled one of our big money bracket races for the week after at VMP. Then the IHRA schedule came out with this deal. Between that and Pittsburgh being on top of the World Footbrake Challenge, I couldn't make four "In" Division races in any one division, so I haven't run any IHRA all year.

Just one more reason to race with IHRA. I remember when they had 80 stockers at that race in 2002.

So much for the heralded new IHRA as the great alternative to NHRA. Thank God for NHRA or we wouldn't be racing.

Disappointing for me as well. I'll still be there, running the Modified bracket this weekend as I live just 45 mins. from the track. At least they'll be running Stock, Super Stock, etc. at the Pro-Am the following weekend.

I really am not inclined to run NHRA points races as we have a "No SeaDoo racing policy."

Two years or so ago we were in a rain situation and every day they started the practice rotation over. So SS got zero runs in 3 days before it rained. You would think common sense would prevail. However, the third day it finally was time for us to make our first pass, and the snowmobiles got sent down ahead of us in a marvelous moment of "changing the run order." Needless to say it rained before we got to run...again.

Now we know our priority in points races, so we plan to attend the least amount as possible. Of course why run for poor pay outs anyway? Thus our "no SeaDoo" policy.
