Default Re: '67 Camaro E/SA redo

While everyone was at Bowling Green this weekend having fun in the 100 degree heat I was busy in the shop with the same weather. Got all the pieces painted and the seats with new covers are back home.

The hull may look pretty slick in the pictures, but it is far from it atm. I had a slight mishap/setback yesterday with some polyester body filler and I spent most of yesterday evening and the better part of today cleaning that up. I must not have used enough hardner in a batch of filler as it would never completely dry on the car...a major ordeal as it would not sand at all and balled up like chewing gum from hell. I ended up taking a razor blade and scraped it all off the car this morning before I could continue.

Anyway, I shot a high build coat of primer on it before leaving this evening. I'll block the hull and see where it still needs attention. Once straight I'll shoot a couple of coats of paint on it then assemble the car again. Some medium wet sanding once the car is complete I'll shoot it again as a whole.
