Seven or eight years ago Barrett Jackson Scottsdale had a big influence on the market. That is no longer the case, if you look at the prices at the other auctions around the country you will find them to be reasonable and in line with the actual value of the car.
Barrett Jackson is a circus and guys with big egos and wallets go to show off. Many of those cars are built just for that auction because of this.
