I sure hate to be one to agree with CD on any subject but he is correct about IHRA's slack teardowns. That is probably one of the reasons NHRA racers shy away from IHRA races even when they are in close driving distance. It is bad to have to race against cars that never get looked at. At least NHRA does teardown the new cars and has proven several times they will throw them out for an illegal engine even if the horsepower is underrated.
