For what it is worth, by my count, 25 of the 70 Super Stockers that ran in Las Vegas this past week end had to tow over 500 miles One Way to race in Las Vegas. So, as much as we complain about NHRA, quite obviously IHRA is not the solution. (PS, I am only 240 miles from Vegas and did not run.......in the middle of changes to our car)

I am not trying to be a smart a--...........but you can draw more the 7 Super Stockers at most any weekend race at even small tracks on weekends, that pay virtually nothing....

So, if you were IHRA, what would you do to attract racers? And forget about cheap entry and good payouts, that obviously doesn't work.
I will tell you what I think. I think there is an attitude that some racers have that they are "better" than other racers who attend the IHRA races. Let me give you a clue.......... you are not any better! What you are doing is two fold. One.... you are missing out on being treated like a human instead of a number, and two.... you are dealing a death blow to the sport you love so much. IHRA is trying hard to get racers to show up. It costs less to race with them, they pay just as much as the NHRA and you will for sure have more fun. It's sort of like having a Democracy with only one political party. If there is no competition how long do you think NHRA will remain a (figuratively) democracy? I challenge those of you to try one IHRA race this year and see what I'm talking about. It's your sport, how long do you want it to last? Jim
