Also important to note is OEM pulley's only! No aftermarket! No playing with Belt and groove widths.

Why should the tensioner have to be OEM?

the OEM tensioner is spring loaded. Metco and others make tensioners that are positive acting, and act on a different place on the belt thus increasing boost by eliminating any slippage. The tensioner should at minimum have to be of OEM type (spring loaded) and should be in the stock location

Know thy enemy! I assume you would make NHRA aware of this?

Oh puulease! Then I'll run a belt soaked in belt dressing that has zero slip.

I wish obama motors and fiat would hurry up and field their pony cars........

there is no "hating", i just know what the supercharged mod motors are capable of. I do applaud NHRA for specifying the pulleys finally.

Chad,
The pulley spec has always been there, just not published. However, I do not know if they were checking them.

Are you running OEM valve spring seat pressure? Becuase if you are allowed to change your valve springs to prevent valve float you'll make more power and we can't have that.
