OK thanks for the honest reply. Now if you come back and build another F/SA car,say a
Chevelle just for arguement sake, and you go to a race and there's 4 or 5 DP or new
Mustangs.Let's say it's a divisional,no class runoffs. You qualify and your first rd opponent is a DP or Mustang that can have a .400 (sort of my light at MG last year:>)) and still have you covered.Think there's something out of kilter there?

For anyone who has doubts about that Caddy is not just a well thought out combination but true race car down to the last nut and bolt and multiple fuel injection maps he uses. I pitted next to Bob this weekend and trust me Bob was under the hood after each and every run tweaking checking and ringing out every last thousandth from the old girl, just kind of hard to judge those 140 MPH closing speeds.

I’m also saddened to report Bob let me know this was his last race and he’s retiring. What a loss to me personally but to all sportsman racing as he’s not only a class guy and gentlemen but an innovator like few others we have seen in the sport.

I hope this is not true. I can't help but remember the fun we have had at the Cajun's in the past with both the Mustang and the Caddy. Jim

I don't think anyone doubts the caddys performance but like the new cars the factor is bogus. They all need to be fixed regardless of make and model.

Wink Re: Talk about being under-rated!!!

take this to the bank guys i speak from 15 years of racing bob shaw...

he never cheats
he only builds cars he believes are underfactored
he prides himself on performance
he does almost all the work himself
he is the most impressive stock eliminator racer ive have ever known

if you guys would take a minute to realize his finding and making this combo work with the fuel injection has been responsible for near 50 #1 qualifier spots > thats right all of murphy's and bob dennis #1 were because bob showed them the combo... they just started calling thier olds motors caddy's and gt/ma is about as friendly as U/SA

running -208 is a feat, and only a bye run for tueton kept bob from his intended purpose he had when he started towing 15 hours in the snow > congrats to bob he deserves it he did it with a car that was actually produced and on a budget billy nees would be proud of !

captain jack

its hell to find out after 30 years your car isnt even within 1 second of the fastest in the country... and thanks to mark faul, he kept me from getting a second heads up ***** kicking in round 2 !!!!!!!!!!

I'll second everything that Captian Jack just said and add that Bob Shaw is one of the nicest men I've ever met at a racetrack.
