Good morning members - I for one wish I could tell you that Billy and myself were preparing for todays semi-finals but the truth is we're at a Sunoco rest stop on route 70 drinking coffee and talking about what could have been .Like I promised it was quite a ride this week and there are four guys left who still have a chance .My sentimental pick is the elder statesman of the group - Bobby Warren who I kidded with yesterday about us being on the drag racing version of the 'senior tour' .
It probably won't be until later today that they run the Sportsman classes but I wish the best for all who remain in the hunt .They'll have more of the same conditions to race in that they had all week - hot and humid but the last man standing I'm sure won't mind while being on the stage holding that huge Indy Wally .

Well we are still here at Indy this morning! We will try to get some pictures of the remainder of the fields. We are getting everything ready today to move on first thing in the morning to our 3rd stop on our trip--Bristol.
This morning they are doing all the pro stuff on the starting line in the misty weather. It is very overcast and humid, but not calling for rain. The temperatures are supposed to be back to normal today--high 83. A little more later! |
