I use aluminum rod in high end blower builds. NA engines I don't see any sense.

They eat up to much cam to rod clearance and cycle time is real short compared to a good steel rod.

Different strokes for diff. folks I guess. 8800-9000 rpm.
I tend to not do what everyone else does.Thats why I don't bracket race and use a Nash 5 speed. And @3000lbs driver on board 9.30s to 40s nobody ever said I was slow.

I guess so thats why I check lifter bore clearance and you don't. LOL

I would of used an Iron Eagle block rather then compromise cam to rod clearance and have to run a cam that looks like a pencil LOL. Or at least would have gone to a .904 lifter with a .810 wheel to reduce pressure angle.

It should be fun to drive !!!
