Default Re: DLC coated lifters

Apologies for the late response. I have been sick with COVID.

My goal here is merely to help shed some light on what we have all been discussing for some time now- the choices of lifters and steel cams and how it has affected the class and even the reliability of some vital engine components.

First let me clarify my DLC Comments. I said “this may be better than DLC”. I am not arguing that DLC has been used or even may be useful in certain scenarios.
Let me explain the difference in the two products and some of my background to help bring some clarity. I can tell you these facts:

-is extremely slick-is slicker than moly and dlc
-is itself a lubricant that bonds in a thin layer .5 to 1 micron with the surface by chemically interacting on a molecular level with the substrate.

We use a proprietary technology called “Force Altered” under license from Force Altered Technologies, Inc.
DLC is indeed very hard, but it is not extremely slick. The main drawback to DLC (aside from the ridiculous cost) is if you should experience the lifter bouncing off the cam (it can and does happen) the DLC will shatter and proliferate throughout your entire engine and cause a very expensive rebuild.

The coating I am offering simply does not do this. We use a completely different process and the coating is not dipped, or uses a PDV process.. It actually bonds to the base material on a molecular level creating and new surface entirely.

Is it proven? Yes. I have record holders using it and even the US Nationals winner. We haven’t even discussed piston rings yet.

If you honestly want to know more I am happy to talk to anyone on the phone to discuss. This is just not the place to play 20 questions. I sincerely want to help and that was my reason for posting in the first place.
