Sometimes the guy who is loosing by enough just decides he is done and lets go of the throttle. Feels better to give up than to be .15 behind under full power. Lynch was going around a 95 if he stayed in it. Daniels was on a 10 run or around that. I’m sure they both ran hard and gave up when they felt like it.
I wouldn’t make any deals with anyone especially if they are the faster car. I’d rather make them take a hit to win the race. If not you race them again with the same circumstances and will get outrun again.
